Fortunately after constant follow ups, Hamid was released; and this year he was with us in the the Wandering Lovers’ congress-2010.
Hamid Gh. went to Kanun (the prison specialized for children under the age of 18) when he was 17. Hamid worked as a sales assistant in a green grocery, earning the money to support his family. The family income was 180 thousand Tomans (almost $180) and Hamid earned $6 everyday.
On the way home, in an accident Hamid injures a 65-year-old lady which results in a sever body amputation (the spinal cord). The atonement for this kind of injury is 80 million Tomans (around $80000) and 1 year of imprisonment.
Hamid earned money through the work of mosaic in Kanoun and he was also active in the club. During this, he was afflicted by depression. (He suffers from insomnia). The living statue of this help receiver is absolutely severe.
Hamid was present in the Teflane Moslem congress in 1387 and 88 (2008 & 2009), and his condition was being checked for 2 years. Performing a play about his life in the 1388 (2009) congress underlined the great talent in this teenage boy. Unfortunately, due to the plaintiff not giving him the pardon and Hamid having aged 18 completely, he was moved to the adult prison of Rajaie Shahr in Farvardin (April).
Through the constant follow ups by the relief society, Hamid’s $80000 atonement decreased to $620000. And through several corresponding with the central insurance company, $54000 was paid by insurance and the remaining $8000 was provided through the Teflan Moslem program.
Hamid’s life story saddened the audiences in any congress and gatherings, since he was actually innocent. The Teflan congress in 1388 (2009) had with it the miracle of Avisheh donating her necklace; a little girl who called Hamid as her brother and caused everyone present feel ashamed and encouraged at the same time.
Through all this time, Hamid’s family has been receiving help from the relief society. The family income didn’t meet their life expenses. Hamid’s father is too old to work and Hamid was the only bread bearer of the family. Among the relief society’s support for this family are help for the accommodation expenses (about $10500) and medical expenses for his mother (around $350). Hamid’s sister’s marriage expenses have got to be provided shortly.
Hamid’s mother’s disease has been developed due to being far from him and hence being worried about him. Let us hope that with Hamid coming back to his family, it would regain its warmth and happiness.
